We are also grateful to Exmouth’s very own radio station, Bay FM, who again recorded the event during the day, Hands on Health of Exmouth, whose experts were on hand to provide sports therapy and massage throughout the day, Bikelands of Exmouth who offered a free bicycle check and professional advice to cycling entrants, and Otterton Mill Café / Restaurant of Otterton who allowed the use of their car park for our Check-Point in addition to giving a very generous 20% discount to participants.
With grateful thanks to our supporters …
How it works : We Arrange the Walk or Ride routes – We manage the event – You attend and raise sponsorship for your organisation
Raise Money for Charity and Have Fun “The Walk or Ride!” is a sponsored “family fun” charity event organised by The Rotary Club of Exmouth & District for walkers or cyclists wishing to raise funds for their favourite charity, club or good cause. But, it equally may be enjoyed by anybody who would like a pleasant outing in East Devon’s beautiful countryside. To help you to use this opportunity and raise money for your cause or Club: We will be happy to assist you with promotions amongst your supporters by providing a personalised PDF of our poster displaying your Charity or Club’s name and logo. Sponsorship may be raised under ‘Gift Aid’ by utilising our sponsorship form downloaded from this website. On receipt of the money from the walker or cyclist, The Rotary Club of Exmouth & District will recover tax on behalf of your cause (remember, the tax recovery is worth an additional 25p for every qualifying £1 donated!). Alternatively, your charity may issue their own sponsorship forms to its supporters and deal with the tax recovery themselves; if this route is taken, the Rotary Club do ask to be advised of the total amount of money raised. Adult entrants are invited to pay a donation of £5 per walker / cyclist over the age of 16 to ‘The Rotary Club of Exmouth & District’ to help defray costs, any surplus will be placed into the club charity fund and used for good charitable purposes. All entrants are encouraged to raise sponsorship money. See which charities we’ve helped by clicking here.
