Below is the information relating to the build up to the 2010 kite festival. New information of the 2011 festival will be added in a few months time as arrangements start to take place. Book 3rd and 4th June for the Rotary Kite Festival 2011.
Exmouth is now firmly in the Kite Flyers calendar. We are lucky enough to have Andrew Beattie visit us this year, and we hope, the first of many visits. Andrew is famous for flying some of the worlds biggest kites. Click here to go to his website and see pictures of his exploits.
The next Rotary Kite Festival will be held on 4th and 5th June 2011 with a concert on 3rd June in the evening to mark the end of Exmouth Festival and the beginning of the Exmouth Rotary Kite Festival.
Our site on the edge of the River Exe is a superb location and unique in the kite flying world in that you can enjoy both kites on land and the kite surfers on the water, all at one venue.
The Rotary Club of Exmouth is grateful for financial support from local traders and Exmouth Town Council but the ultimate aim is to raise an awareness for our local charities and worth while causes. Donations will be made to them out of the surplus we raise from the event. (More details of our charities and sponsors are on subsequent pages)
